Back from my hiatus with a fun summer look – in time for some Fourth of July inspiration. You’re welcome! 🙂
Hello from the other side…The last few weeks have been crazy. I competed in a pageant! Placed as 3rd runner up and wrote all about it here. Now I’m back to blogging, hey! And summer is my favorite time to wear cute clothes and take dope pictures so yay. Remember #TFLAtakesSummer ? Lol, this season I’ll be working with some of my favorite photographers again like Mr Igwe who photographed this epic shoot. Meanwhile, this look was photographed by Fatima (shoppingaddict27 on Youtube). We shot around The Africa Center, on 5th avenue, by Central Park. I’m wearing a bralette from Boohoo underneath something outta the 2000s. I think we used to call it a poncho in Secondary School, not sure. I’ve had this one for years and I have no idea where I got it from. The skirt was a gift from The Debonair Disciple, originally from Asos. My initial thought was – this would make a fun festival outfit but let’s be honest, who’s wearing these heels to a concert or festival? Not me! I would swap the heels for white sneakers and switch to a shorter skirt and be good to go for Made in America or Afropunk or something.
That’s all folks! Follow me on Instagram/Snapchat @anieksumoh to see what I’m up to when I’m not blogging 🙂
