RUINS || WHAT TO DO IN ABUJA
Another lovely piece by Holma Designs. I wore this to church the last Sunday before I left Abuja. Before I start shooting coats and boots again, I wanted to do something similar to my spring break log, highlighting some fun places and things to do in Abuja. While this isn’t exhaustive of all I was up to in Abuja, it includes some of my favorites. Enjoy!
Quo Vadis Hotel, Wuse 2
You know that tucked-away gem that lots of people don’t know about. Yeah, this is it. My mum stayed here for a bit and met the staff so when my family came for dinner Christmas Eve, we were able to get the entire restaurant to ourselves. It’s a beautiful place, the food is amazing, the facilities are 4/5 star and the service was impeccable
My friend, Emmanuel told me about this place so I went to check it out with Eyo and Jackie. The hotel was really well furnished. At the rooftop, astro turf lined the floor, there were cozy couches, a fountain and private areas sectioned off with curtains. It’s a gorgeous place but the food was subpar. Eyo and I had burgers and they sucked. Beyond that, the staff was really nice and let us pick the music.
This was our go-to place. By ‘our’ I mean myself, Nonso and Onochie (pictured above), Noddy and our friends. We started going to Mirage last Christmas and that didn’t change this break. Since it’s on the rooftop, it’s so well-ventilated. It’s a nice place to get drinks, finger food and hookah and just chill.
